Lauren Berke, MA, MHC-LP has joined the clinical team at Dr. Fallon’s Practice, and we are thrilled to have her here! Lauren is a Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) who holds a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. Lauren is currently pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her Psychotherapist career, Lauren worked as a Senior Director and Portfolio Manager in Market Research Consulting bringing an additional understanding of financial wellness, corporate development, and professional self to her clinical work.
Psychotherapy, counseling, and wellness work to empower self-awareness while healing emotional and cognitive wounds, which ultimately leads to healthy relationships and strong personal fulfillment. As such, and with direct reference to 8-dimensional wellness model research, Lauren believes that mental health and wellness is a catalytic element of a complete health assessment.
Lauren is a Psychotherapist, working with adults, couples/partners, families and groups at Dr. Fallon’s Practice. In clinical practice, she applies an integrative psychodynamic, trauma-informed approach to support her clients in processing the past, embracing the present and designing the future. This process relies heavily on evidence-based clinical theories: Psychodynamic, Cognitive Processing, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Narrative, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Emotion Focused, Gottman (for couples/partners only), Imago (for couples/partners only) and Strategic Focused/Solution Focused (for couples/partners and families only).
Lauren brings her own personal and professional values of nonjudgmental, unconditional positive regard to her clinical work and her specialties include trauma, anxiety and relationship challenges.
