Our Therapists

Dr. Fallon’s Practice continues to grow as we bring together a passionate and dedicated team of practitioners, some of whom have worked with Dr. Fallon in the past and some of whom she clinically supervised and mentored through their pre-licensing hours and beyond. Our therapists are all encouraged to practice within the specialty areas they feel the most passionate about and are the most skilled in. All services are currently provided through our easy to use and reliable HIPAA compliant telehealth platform requiring zero commute time to and from our offices while offering clients the opportunity to engage in therapy from the comfort of home or anywhere that is private and convenient.

Sadé Barksdale, MPS, ATR-BC, LCAT, LPAT

 

Dr. Fallon’s Practice is truly excited to introduce our newest team member, Sadé Barksdale, who is licensed to practice psychotherapy and creative art therapy in both New York and New Jersey! Sadé’s passion for the field, genuineness, impressive skillset, experience, warmth, and core professional values are just part of what makes her an incredible clinician and valued team member at Dr. Fallon’s Practice.

 

Sadé’s therapeutic style is person-centered, strength based, culturally aware/affirming and holistic. Sadé creates a safe and welcoming environment to allow people working with her to show up as their true and authentic selves! In meeting her clients where they are Sadé draws from her training and diverse experience in both psychotherapy and Creative Art Therapy to best meet the needs of each individual client.

 

In therapeutic partnership with her clients Sadé facilitates an exploration of what may be getting in the way of a more rewarding life. She helps her clients to find liberation from painful past experiences, overwhelming stressors, and a negative self-image. She is extremely passionate about helping her clients to no longer limit themselves with doubt and discouragement.

 

Sadé is also extremely passionate about assisting folks with marginalized identities lean into their true selves by breaking patterns, healing inner wounds, developing healthier relationships, and gaining supportive and encouraging self-beliefs. She is effective in helping clients to unapologetically live life in ways that reflect who they truly are.

 

Some of Sadé’s specialties include: generalized anxiety, depression, adjustment to challenging life circumstances or transitions, social anxiety, racial/ancestral trauma, self-esteem, and assisting people with relationships struggles. Sadé enjoys working with all clients and is especially passionate about providing safe and creative spaces to BIPOC and individuals with historically marginalized identities. 

Helping her clients rewrite their narrative to be more valid and empowering while discovering new ways for them to lean into their inherent strengths is at the heart of Sadé’s clinical work. Anaam Hussain, MA, LMHC

With much excitement we introduce to you Anaam Hussain, NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor, who has joined The Practice with over a decade of experience in the fields of mental and behavioral health! Anaam completed her two years of required fieldwork experience under Dr. Fallon’s direct supervision. Extremely impressed with her work ethic, skillset, and compassionate care, Dr. Fallon continued to provide Anaam with supervision and mentorship after she completed her licensing requirements while also providing her extensive opportunities for growth and expanded knowledge in diverse and challenging clinical settings. Anaam has long since become an organizational leader and an incredible therapist in her own right. It is with sincere pleasure as well as genuine confidence in her strong clinical skills and character that Dr. Fallon has asked Anaam to once again join her in doing the work we love so much.

 

Anaam is a multicultural competent therapist who works from a strength-based perspective utilizing evidenced based techniques. She is skilled and experienced in helping people struggling with relationship and family concerns, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and difficult life transitions. Anaam is also deeply interested in women’s issues as well as the immigrant experience. Anaam’s passion to help individuals, couples, and families achieve more optimal versions of their lives is at the heart of her clinical work.

Joan Determann, MSW, LCSW

With immense happiness we introduce to you Joan Determann, NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker, an exceptional therapist who Dr. Fallon has had the absolute joy of working with, supervising, and mentoring through years of professional growth together. Joan exudes empathy and kindness in her approach to therapy and in all aspects of life. Joan brings to the practice fifteen years of mental health counseling experience, an in-depth understanding of therapeutic techniques, and an impressive track record of successfully helping clients with diverse mental health struggles reach their goals and create positive behavioral change. It is with sincere pleasure as well as genuine confidence in her strong clinical skills and character that Dr. Fallon has asked Joan to once again join her in doing the work we love so much.

 

Joan’s twenty-year career in the police department that culminated with her work in the special victims unit inspired her to become a therapist. Joan’s wealth of lived experience and deep respect for spirituality and diversity informs her approach to person-centered therapy. Joan is extremely skilled in helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, panic disorder, agoraphobia, and challenging life transitions. Joan draws from a variety of therapies to best meet the needs of each individual client, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and systematic desensitization. Joan is passionate about helping individuals and families of all ages enhance their lives by creating the changes they want to experience. She is also deeply interested in encouraging older adults to try therapy during difficult life transitions and challenging times. Joan’s approachable style and genuine desire to help others live more fully is at the heart of her clinical work.

Tawanna Peacock, MSW, LMSW

Tawanna Peacock, New York State Licensed Social Worker, has joined Dr. Fallon’s Practice! We are elated to welcome aboard this highly skilled therapist who brings with her twenty-eight years of diverse experience in the fields of mental health, behavioral health, and developmental disabilities. Dr. Fallon first had the pleasure of providing clinical supervision to this outstanding therapist in 2013 when Tawanna was a clinician at a counseling center where Dr. Fallon was the director. Dr. Fallon had been so impressed with Tawanna’s skillset, dedication to client care, and positive therapeutic outcomes that years later she offered her an exceptionally challenging leadership role where Tawanna was able to showcase her clinical skills and warm interpersonal skills winning over the hearts of clients and staff alike.

 

Tawanna’s decades of successful therapeutic experience in New York City where she worked with individuals, families, and couples who came to her with all types of concerns, struggles, and mental health issues makes her a great match for potential clients hoping to find an experienced licensed therapist capable of meeting them where they are and learning how to best assist them in achieving their therapeutic objectives and goals. Tawanna approaches therapy as a partnership and practices from a strength-based perspective with the aim of empowering her clients to achieve their goals and build on their successes.
