Avery Roth-Hawthorne, MA, MHC-LP has joined Dr. Fallon’s Practice, and we are thrilled to have him here with us! Avery is a New York State Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) with an MA in Mental Health Counseling from Baruch College, Weissman School of Arts and Sciences. Before graduate school, Avery earned a Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School and a Professional Studies Diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. His one-on-one work with young musicians inspired him to begin a new journey in mental health counseling, helping others facing similar challenges in their lives.

Avery has worked with a wide range of clients and enjoys engaging in the therapeutic process, having helped clients navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, health issues, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. He has also supported clients working through performance anxiety, career transitions, grief, loss, and identity exploration.

Avery’s approach to therapy is grounded in a humanistic, person-centered style that emphasizes client agency and autonomy. He provides a warm, safe, and authentic presence, integrating evidence-based techniques from therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.

Avery is dedicated to helping clients recognize their strengths, deepen self-understanding, and feel less alone. In therapy, you’ll work together to find meaningful ways to manage challenging emotions, handle stress, and approach life’s difficulties in ways that foster a greater sense of wholeness. Therapy with Avery is collaborative and tailored to meet your unique needs, at your own pace. If you’re considering therapy but feeling uncertain, Avery’s compassionate approach creates a safe space to explore, heal, and grow.
