Samantha is a passionate puzzle solver. Not just puzzles of cute dogs and pretty houses, but the puzzle of how all of our experiences and relationships come together to create our lives. Just like with puzzles, Samantha believes that everyone already has the pieces to become whole, sometimes we just need help putting them all together.
Samantha takes a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that both the mind and body are important pieces in healing and recovery when it comes to mental health. Samantha incorporates a diverse range of techniques that include Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems to help each individual find healing in a way that works best for them. Samantha incorporates her advanced training in somatic techniques, in the form of mindfulness, breath-work, and grounding exercises, to guide clients in gaining back control over their bodies and minds.
Samantha’s experience in treating clients with neurodivergent brains, eating disorders, complex trauma histories, and substance use issues allows her to be best prepared for the diverse range of experiences that each client comes in with. Samantha works with each client, as a team, to reduce the symptoms that cloud the unique and powerful individual underneath.
Samantha cherishes the importance of the therapeutic relationship and believes that it can be used to learn skills, develop insight, and empower individuals to lead happier and more fulfilling lives. Especially when it comes to trauma, Samantha knows the value of having a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic space to explore and heal from our pasts. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, ADHD symptoms, relationship troubles or the effects of past trauma, Samantha is determined to help you feel freer and happier throughout our process of therapy together. Samantha’s goal is that as the therapeutic relationship grows, your bag of puzzle pieces becomes a clear image of your passions, love, insight, and self-compassion.
