Alexandra (Alex) Kasputis, LMHC-D, NCC, CEDS is the Director of Clinical Supervision Training at DFP and a highly respected member of our senior clinical team. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York with Diagnostic Privilege, and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist who provides LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
Alex is trained in EMDR and certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, and has additional training in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) through the Albert Ellis Institute. She has extensive experience treating eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings.
Her clinical approach is person-centered and eclectic, grounded in warmth, curiosity, humor, and a strong emphasis on self-compassion. Alex helps clients reconnect with themselves, reduce self-sabotaging behaviors, and move toward the life they want to live.
As a supervisor, Alex values collaboration and growth. She is passionate about mentoring clinicians as they deepen their skills, build confidence, and discover their unique therapeutic voice.
