Dana Reeves is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York who has been practicing since 2020. She graduated from Hofstra University with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. Dana follows a person-centered and strengths-based approach to working with clients. She focuses on empowering clients to face and work through their challenges using unconditional positive regard, boundless optimism, empathy, hope, and insight into one's emotions and life experiences that impact behaviors. Dana strives to embolden clients to utilize their strengths uniquely, moving toward growth that is both helpful and fulfilling.
She works with children, adolescents, and adults and has experience in a day program for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, as well as in a behavioral and socialization school for children with developmental delays due to environmental factors. Dana meets clients where they are and utilizes therapies that best fit their needs. She aims to empower clients to use their skills and strengths to overcome obstacles while growing personally in the ways they desire.
Outside of work, Dana enjoys reading, exercising, walking in nature, spending time with family and friends, eating delicious food-especially tacos-watching action or romance movies, and helping people in any way she can, whether big or small.
