(She/Her/Hers)

Marissa is a Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) who holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Loyola University Maryland. With a strong academic foundation and diverse clinical experience, Marissa brings warmth, empathy, and a deep commitment to her work with clients navigating a variety of mental health challenges. The Clinical Team at Dr. Fallon’s Practice is thrilled to have her onboard!

Drawing from a person-centered framework, Marissa integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to offer a flexible, trauma-informed, and individualized approach for each client. She has clinical experience in both higher levels of care and private practice, supporting individuals with OCD, eating disorders, personality and mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Marissa also works with clients to explore and improve their relationships with body image and self-esteem. She works closely with those navigating relationship challenges, complex family dynamics, and generational trauma, guiding them in untangling long-standing patterns and fostering healthier, more fulfilling connections.

At the core of Marissa’s work is the belief in meeting clients where they are, walking alongside them on their unique journey toward healing and self-discovery. She is passionate about fostering a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences with curiosity and courage. Marissa also values the role of humor in the therapeutic process, believing that laughter can be a powerful tool for building connection, releasing tension, and embracing our shared humanity.

Marissa believes therapy should challenge you in meaningful ways, while also being something you look forward to, a space where you can be real, feel supported, and even find moments of lightness in the hard work of growth. By helping clients understand the path they’re on and empowering them to navigate it with greater clarity, she supports lasting transformation rooted in self-awareness, resilience, and hope.
