Get to know more about Anna
Anna Virk, MHC-LP, is a Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Queens College (CUNY), where she developed a strong foundation in understanding social systems, inequality, and human behavior. She also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Molloy University, with training focused on evidence-based approaches, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practices.
Prior to her current role, she worked as a social worker, gaining experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. This background continues to inform her clinical work, allowing her to take a holistic approach that considers both clients’ internal experiences and the broader social and cultural contexts shaping their lives.

What should a new client know about working with you?
A new client should know that I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where you can feel comfortable being open and honest. I take a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach, meaning I am mindful of how past experiences and identity shape your current challenges and strengths.
My style is warm and supportive, but also intentional—I will gently challenge patterns when needed to help you gain insight and move toward meaningful change. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship and believe that trust and consistency are key parts of the process.
You can expect our work together to be paced in a way that feels manageable, while still encouraging growth. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, my goal is to support you in developing deeper self-understanding, healthier coping strategies, and a greater sense of control in your life.
