

Elyse Rosales-Baker, M.S.Ed, LMHC, NCC is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of NY awaiting receipt of her Diagnostic Privilege License. Elyse holds the position of Clinical Supervisor at Dr. Fallon’s Practice and is a valued member of our senior clinical team. Elyse obtained her Bachelor of Science in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and furthered her education by receiving a Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St John’s University.
Elyse is a provider of LGBTQIA+ affirming care who specializes in working with adults with acute and persistent mental health disorders. She is a compassionate and collaborative therapist dedicated to supporting individuals navigating Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Trauma, Postpartum challenges, and LGBTQIA+ identity-related concerns. With a warm, affirming, and trauma-informed approach, Elyse creates a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore their experiences, deepen self-awareness, and build resilience.
As a woman of color, Elyse is a strong advocate for mental health within marginalized communities. She brings a culturally sensitive and affirming lens to her work—especially when supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals through identity development, coming out, relationship issues, and systemic stressors. Whether working with someone in the early stages of postpartum adjustment or guiding a client through the long-term impacts of trauma, Elyse provides a steady presence and empowering partnership focused on holistic healing and emotional well-being.
Elyse takes an eclectic approach to therapy grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person Centered and mindfulness-based approaches. Elyse tailors therapy to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. She is especially passionate about helping clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected find clarity, healing, and renewed strength in their personal journeys.
As a clinical supervisor Elyse will provide a collaborative space where the supervisee feels respected, heard, and encouraged to explore clinical challenges openly without fear of judgment. She will offer regular, honest, and growth-oriented feedback tailored to the supervisee’s current level of development, helping them refine their counseling skills and clinical judgment. Elyse is a firm believer in self-care and she actively supports the supervisee’s self-care by normalizing discussions around burnout, stress, and emotional well-being. This can help the supervisee develop sustainable practices to maintain personal and professional resilience throughout their counseling career.
