Jaden Eyzenberg, MA, MHC-LP

(He/Him/His)

Dr. Fallon’s Practice is excited to welcome Jaden Eyzenberg, MA, MHC-LP to the team! Jaden is a New York State Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) with a laser-focused passion for the therapeutic arts and all it can do to empower people. Jaden earned his BA in general psychology from Binghamton University with summa cum laude distinction. While completing his studies there Jaden saw the marginalization and poverty in upstate New York firsthand, and subsequently decided to stay and provide therapeutic services to the residents of Binghamton while earning his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.

Jaden’s therapeutic approach starts and ends with the balancing act between compassion and accountability that all of us grapple with daily. Everything from his disposition to his techniques is intended to facilitate the development of his client’s willingness and ability to examine themselves toward a health-giving end. Jaden believes that the stories we tell ourselves about who we are, where we came from, and what we are capable of being have major ramifications on how we feel, think, and act.

Jaden's therapeutic style is client-centered while providing a steady, helping hand, and acknowledging the client is the final authority on their own life. All throughout, Jaden customarily adopts a stance of respectfulness and non-blaming, knowing that asking the right questions is oftentimes better than imposing an answer. He understands from personal experience how difficult it is for clients to confront the most powerless points in their lives, and as such his mission is nothing short of aiding them in forgiving what was never their fault to begin with, and seizing the inner strength once presumed lost.

Jaden spent his teenage years as a practicing Orthodox Jew battling OCD of both secular and religious variety. As such, he has a vested interest in separating piety from pathology, as well as battling against any mental illness that gets a kick out of convincing someone they are beyond help. These life struggles have, accordingly, fueled his specialization in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Scrupulosity. (Scrupulosity is a psychological disorder primarily characterized by pathological guilt or obsession associated with moral or religious issues that is often accompanied by compulsive moral or religious observance and is highly distressing and maladaptive.) Jaden also has experience with and enjoys helping those suffering from trauma, anxiety, depression, abusive relationships, family/marital conflict, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

When he isn’t providing therapy, Jaden is indulging in classic literature, writing poems, lifting weights, practicing martial arts, and delighting in the abundance of nature. Jaden looks forward to having the opportunity to meet you where you are and begin this important work with you!
